Something we do not do often enough is to thank our parents. It's because of them we are here and it's often thanks to who we are, who we are. The education my parents gave me is by far one of the most beautiful things I have in my life. My parents have done me the honor of simply showing me what they are. They started naked to teach us everything.
I do not come from a well-off family or a poor family. I come from L'Isle-Verte, a small and peaceful village in Bas-Saint-Laurent, 5h from Montreal and where to go to town (Here we talk about going to Rivière-du-Loup) arrives once a week, it is for groceries, to enjoy a soft cream and that is an outlet in itself. But it's a cool release.
All my youth, we rarely went to the restaurant, it's not the kind of expenses that were part of our daily lives. My dad is an ace of the kitchen then anyway, why spend. My parents have always taught me find happiness in every single little thing. With health, we can do everything we want. They never tried my projects, my ambitions. I have never seen in their eyes a suspicion of doubts about my ability to to succeed, even if they knew that I would inevitably fail at times. They never showed it to me because for them, trying is growing.
I just always knew they would always be there, whatever. My best friend, my father, is today of 65 years old, he still lives in L'Isle-Verte and he does not have internet. On the other hand, when I told him that I was going to open an online store, that it was far from easy, he said, " I think you are capable. " He tells me that by probably never having seen on a computer what an online store is. That's more than anything. Because when things go wrong, and it happens, he's still there. My parents are still here. AT 5h from distance, they repeat to me, each their tricks: " Whether you have 25 years or 40 years, I will always be there and you will always be my daughter. " And that, when we are afraid, there is nothing that does more good.
In my family, we always helped each other. When one is not doing well, the other takes care of it, when one succeeds, another underlines it. My parents allowed little humans to fall and start again. By teaching us at a very young age that nothing is easy and that nothing is free, they have made us, me and my brothers, humans more than persevering, strong and independent!
I would like to thank them for letting my brothers drag me everywhere, for letting them to make me eat earth no more finishing and doing everything so that I finally end up no longer be embarrassed to cry. Today it makes me a sublime One of the Boys.
I would like to thank them for allowing one of my brothers to finally access the army after more than 5-6 years of proceedings. Without their support, he would have surely abandoned long before.
I would like to thank them for showing us sometimes it hurts, but it's for the best. Sometimes we have to make decisions that will change the course of our lives, decisions that will kill our stability, but are necessary. My parents have been separated for more than 6 years and my eyes, it is a proof of courage.
I just want to thank them for being them. You show me every day of my life, that being yourself is really beautiful.
And when I have kids, I'll just show them that. That I will be me and that I will always be there.

I have summer rituals, holiday rituals, renewal rituals in the spring ... but my fall rituals remain the most powerful. So here are three very different, but equally magical, ways to celebrate autumn.
I am a fan of face masks and have tested a lot since I use them. I admit that they are not all favorites for me, but t, the quantity I test is things that can happen. Some give great results, while others do not really improve my skin.
